This workbook accompanies the Techniques of Marching Band Show Designing text. It is a collection of formations that are coordinated with the text. Every show designing technique that is described in the text will have a formation in the workbook for the person to do for practical experience. All examples are from real drill situations Dan Ryder encountered while designing custom drills.

For example, if the topic in the text describes how and when to fragment a formation, there will be a formation in the workbook where the project is to design a fragmented design from the one that is shown. The formations in the workbook are of bands from 32 winds to 250 winds so that you will have experience designing for bands of all sizes.
